Astoria is located at the end of the Lewis and Clark Trail and is the oldest American settlement west of the Rockies. As of late it has been referred to as “little San Francisco.” Astoria is an old place that is now hip - Where Victorian mansions and maritime relics live in harmony with chef-driven restaurants and tattoo parlors.

Seaside, 20 miles to the south, offers a variety of fun for all ages. Wide sandy beaches are the main attraction, of course, but there is also a marry-go-round, bumper cars, an arcade and river. Enjoy a walk on the “Prom” next to the beach. From art galleries to fishing, to paddle boats, Seaside has something for everyone.

Cannon Beach, 8 miles from Seaside, is famous for Haystack Rock. It has a charming downtown offering a mix of shops, galleries and great restaurants. It also supports a community theater and hosts a wonderful sand castle contest every June. Best of all, Cannon Beach is known for having one of the best beaches in Oregon. We are proud to have both of our inns, Schooner’s Cove InnThe Wayside Inn, in this beach town.

Manzanita, is a small beach city surrounded by the ocean, Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain, and beautiful forests. When visiting this area guests will like the quiet ocean beach, horseback riding, a golf course and two state parks for camping and playing. We have a large vacation rental in Manzanita, Westover House.

Rockaway Beach has 7 miles of sandy beaches. It was created as a summer vacation destination in the 1920's. In Rockaway you'll find the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad which travels along Tillamook Bay, a fun ride with views of the Pacific and a sense of the past.

Tillamook is famous for its cheese and delicious ice cream.  The Tillamook Cheese Visitor's Center is the most visited tourist attraction on the Oregon coast.  Take a tour, have lunch, then end the day with ice cream.  Tillamook has wonderful salmon fishing as well as 7 rivers and 3 bays for crabbing and clamming. The Tillamook area is home to the famous Three Capes Scenic Loop. On this drive you'll see amazing views of the ocean, the Three Arch Rocks, Netarts Bay and Haystack Rock in Pacific City.

Pacific City is home of the Dory boats and one of only two beaches on the West coast where fishing boats launch from the beach through the breakers. Take advantage of one of the local charters for a thrilling ride. Home of the Big Nestucca it is a boaters and fisherman's paradise. The river is slow running with plenty of room for either canoeing, kayaking, or motoring. It is also a great spot to fish for salmon.

Lincoln City, is home to our three other Oregon Coast inns, Looking Glass Inn , Pelican Shores Inn, and Shearwater Inn. We also have a Lincoln City Vacation Rental with wonderful ocean views.  Lincoln City is known as the place to fly kites on the Oregon Coast.   Devils Lake, Siletz Bay and the worlds smallest river, D' River, give water sports lovers and fishermen a lot to do.  Lincoln City is home to many antique shops, restaurants, and galleries. Just South is Salishan Spa and Golf Resort offering a challenging 18 hole golf course and wonderful spa.

Depoe Bay, the Whale Watching Capital of the Oregon coast, has a resident pod of gray whales. Many times whales can be seen from shore or you can take a boat tour to see them close up. Depoe Bay has the smallest navigable harbor in the world and the seawall running the length of downtown is the only one on the Oregon coast.

Newport, located between the coastal mountains, Yaquina Bay and the ocean, offers many things to do and places to explore. Visit  Oregon's tallest lighthouse on Yaquina Head or spend the day seeing the amazing sea life at the Oregon Coast Aquarium and Hatfield Marine Science Center.
